Kathryn Dennis is reportedly departing Southern Charm after eight seasons with the Bravo reality series.
Following Lisa Rinna‘s exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Thursday, Bravolebrities are learning of another potentially substantial casting loss as multiple sources have reportedly confirmed that she will not be seen on the show’s upcoming episodes, which went into production earlier this month.
“We’re hearing from multiple sources that Kathryn Dennis is OUT,” the Queens of Bravo shared with their fans and followers on Instagram on January 9.
After the post was shared, a number of Instagram users weighed in, some of whom were sad to see her potentially leave the series and others who understood the alleged decision.
“Without Kathryn there would be no Southern Charm. Last season the only good parts were her and [Madison LeCroy],” one person stated.
But someone else complained, “This show should end two seasons ago. Kathryn and [Thomas Ravenel] was THE story.”
Others claimed Kathryn “brought nothing” to the show and said her rumored exit was a “good call.”
There were also tons of Instagram users who called for a potential reboot of Southern Charm: New Orleans.
“They need to bring back NOLA at this point and give this cast a break,” one person declared.
“Maybe this is the PERFECT time to bring back Southern Charm New Orleans!!!!” a second agreed.
“Omg YES!!!!! I don’t get why they didn’t bring it back! Let’s get this trending though. I prefer that cast over this one,” shared a third.
And ironically, their requests came just days after Kathryn was spotted hanging with New Orleans‘ Reagan Charleston and Tamica Lee.
“Charleston came to town!” Reagan announced in the caption of a ground photo taken with Kathryn and Tamica.
As Bravo fans may have seen last month, it was reported that a Real Housewives of New Orleans could be coming soon. And, in response to the rumor, many fans voiced that they’d rather see a reboot of Southern Charm: New Orleans — or see the series stars on the potential Real Housewives series.
Kathryn’s outing with Reagan and Tamica certainly comes at an interesting time. Could she be set for a potential crossover to relaunch the show now that she’s reportedly moving on from her own show? Only time will tell.
Southern Charm season nine is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year.
