Judi Love has broken her silence on those Loose Women feud rumours after backstage tension began swirling following Olivia Attwood Dack's appearance.
Judi Love has hit back at rumours of a feud on the Loose Women panel, insisting there's nothing but support, sisterhood, and slayage behind the scenes — even when opinions clash. Speculation of backstage tension began swirling after Olivia Attwood Dack, 33, joined the ITV daytime show and reportedly brought her own hair and makeup team to set. But Judi, 44, shut the gossip down, telling OK! Magazine: "Do people ask the same thing when it’s Loose Men? Us girls are good.
"If you’ve got your own make-up team, it’s not a bad reflection of the team in-house – it’s just someone else is used to your face. That should be looked at as a positive and how inclusive the show and the team are to make sure people are comfortable. We slay all the time! I get my make-up done, I walk out and I’m slaying. Period!" The comedian, who’s been a staple on Loose Women for five years, acknowledged that the panellists don’t always see eye to eye but said disagreements are handled with grace.
"Of course we all have different opinions, that’s the beauty of it. But everything is always done with respect. A different opinion doesn’t mean an argument. It’s a conversation."
She added: "It’s always fun, always lively. The topics are wide-ranging. It’s a space where I can be myself – not just as a comedian, but as a woman, a mother and a voice for the community."
Appearing on Saturday Kitchen, Judi addressed the drama head-on when host Matt Tebbutt cheekily asked if the women had fallen out. Laughing off the rumours, she said: "No no, we're absolutely lovely. Look I'm working with 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, acting – they are forces to be reckoned with."
She continued: "I find that anything I need advice in, anything – I'm talking buying houses, all kind of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they've got some understanding and can educate me on things.
"I think it's great. They've added to it, and now they've got a comedian in the pool, I love it, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls, get your make-up on.
"There's a real sisterhood between us and I love it. I love that we can explore different topics and have our own opinions and that's OK.
"And even outside of Loose, how supportive we are of each other in different areas of our life, and that's really important and says a lot about Loose Women itself."
Judi gushed about her friendships with panellists including Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, Charlene White and Brenda Edwards, revealing she feels comfortable enough to call them up at any time.
Judi also spoke candidly about balancing her TV career with motherhood, explaining: "My kids are the ones who keep me grounded. I could be off interviewing a Hollywood star but the moment I step through the door it's, 'Mum, what's for dinner?' It's beautiful – I love it."
