Iconic nightclub that made its name on reality TV show The Only Way is Essex goes up for sale liennhi

An iconic nightclub made famous by its celebrity clientele on the reality TV show The Only Way is Essex has gone up for sale for almost £4million.

The Sugar Hut nightclub, frequented by stars including Mark Wright, Joey Essex and Gemma Collins, has featured in the ITV show since it launched back in 2010. It was also famous for its glamorous hosts the Sugar Hut Honeys.

It was previously owned by fellow TOWIE star Mick Norcross, who sold it in 2019, two years before his tragic death aged 57.

The Grade II listed property in Brentwood spans several floors including a basement, a ground floor and a second floor.

Formerly a pub, it has been reconfigured into a nightclub and restaurant on the ground and first floor, while officers and staff accommodation cover the top floor.

Now it is up for sale again, as reported by Luxury Property News, and is being sold with vacant possession allowing potential buyers to transform it into a different use.

The listing describes the building as a combination of 'historic charm with modern functionality'.

The Sugar Hut's licensing which remains in place could be an added incentive for potential buyers looking to continue its legacy as a hospitality venue, the estate agent said.

The business rates are in the region of £70,000 per year. It is being marketed by Stirling Ackroyd.

The listing reads: 'The property is arranged across the basement, ground and two upper floors.
