Hayley Erbert Faces Second Surgery to Replace Significant Skull Portion tram

Derek Hough is asking for prayers as his wife, Hayley Erbert, undergoes a second brain surgery.

The “Dancing With the Stars” judge told his Instagram followers on Wednesday that the 29-year-old was going under the knife that morning “to replace a large portion of her skull that was removed during her craniectomy.”

Hough, 38, went on to thank his followers for their support after her first emergency surgery earlier this month.

“I strongly believe all the prayers that have been sent with the intention and love of Hayley’s recovery has helped so much,” he gushed.

The Emmy nominee asked fans to continue praying for his partner, whom he wed in August.

“Please keep her in your prayers as I believe the collective energy helped her through these past few weeks,” he concluded. “We love you, we thank you.”

Erbert was hospitalized after a Dec. 6 Symphony of Dance performance for “a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy.”

While the actress has been silent on social media amid the health scare, her husband and sister-in-law have shared frequent updates.

Julianne Hough, for her part, asked Instagram users to “please pray and send all [their] love, healing and light.”

As for Derek, he praised Erbert’s progress last week and called it “nothing short of a miracle.”

The actor wrote, “It’s been a profound reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly things can change. But, it has also shown us the incredible strength and resilience that lies within us and the power of having a supportive community around us.”

He and Erbert began dating in 2015, with Derek getting down on one knee seven years later.

After the couple’s star-studded wedding ceremony this summer, the dancers enjoyed a PDA-filled honeymoon in Italy.

Derek teased his future family plans with the bride in October, telling “Extra” that he “absolutely” wants to have children one day.

“Are we ready to do this thing?” he asked Erbert at the time.
