Gleb Savchenko Claims He Found Out Brooks Nader Dumped Him Through the Internet: 'She Has Not Replied' tram

Gleb Savchenko is addressing his alleged split from Brooks Nader.

Hours after news broke that the former Dancing with the Stars partners had ended their relationship over the weekend, Savchenko, 41, is sharing a different version of events.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Monday, April 7, the professional dancer claimed he was blindsided by the 28-year-old model, saying he was "surprised to learn" through the news "that Brooks has ended our relationship."

"The last communication I received from her was a text on April 6th, asking to speak. I called her today in response, but she has not replied," he claimed.

“The last time I saw Brooks was when I traveled to New York to support her and film an episode of her reality show on March 31st and April 1st and she was sad to see me leave, but I had to return to DWTS to finish my four month tour at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood,” he continued. “I am still processing everything, and while I don’t have all the answers, I wish Brooks the best moving forward.”

Earlier on April 7, a source told PEOPLE that Nader dumped Savchenko after hearing that he had cheated on her. The pair had been dating since September 2024 when they met on season 33 of DWTS, although this is not the first time they have called off the relationship.

In October, a week after their elimination from the competition show, Savchenko and Nader went their separate ways. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model later revealed that he had sent her a cryptic message ending things over text, but they rekindled their romance shortly after.

"He was going through something and then he said, ‘Picked up my stuff. I’m going to Joshua Tree tomorrow for a few nights. We should have a conversation but I think I'm done,’” Nader read from her alleged conversation with Savchenko during a TikTok live in November. “‘I care about you. I think you're an amazing person. You always have a special place in my heart. I love you.' That was on October 23.”

“I never responded,” she added. “Then, October 25, he said, 'I miss you.' Then, October 26, 'I’m so sorry, I want to talk to you. I actually miss you.' Then, of course, we had a little chit-chat.”

Noting that “there was a spark immediately,” Nader clarified that they were both “taking it day by day” amid recent relationship changes. (In December 2023, she and her husband of four years Billy Haire separated, and in April 2024, Savchenko split from his model girlfriend Elena Belle after nearly three years.)

“He's so amazing and so special,” Nader gushed during a February interview with PEOPLE. “I did not intend — whenever I went on Dancing With the Stars at first — I didn't intend to be in February right now still seeing him, but here we are.”

“I mean, life is so funny how it happens,” she admitted. “And it was a little bit of a kismet, serendipity situation that we met when we did and just both being freshly divorced and the whole thing, it was insane. He's just such an amazing person, so I'm lucky to know him. He's more lucky. I'm just kidding, [but] he knows for sure.”
