Giovanni Pernice has shared 'some exciting news' with fans amid a recent demand around his future with Strictly Come Dancing,.

The professional dancer, who wasn't invited back to the BBC One dance show last year, has been busy touring across the country since earlier this year.

It started with his own solo tour, The Last Dance, which he has previously said will be his last tour - for now - having headed out across the country with his own show for a number of years in a row.

Following the end of the tour in May, Giovanni didn't take too much time off as he was quick to head back out on the road, this time with friend and Strictly judge Anton Du Beke.

The show, titled Together Again, sees them perform together across the UK. It's not the first time the pair have taken to the stage together, having previously headed out on the popular Him and Me tour in 2021 and 2023.

The tour is now nearing an end, but Giovanni isn't going anywhere fast as he confirmed his next move. In a video shared by Donaheys on Instagram, the Italian star is heard saying: "Hello everyone! It's me, Giovanni. Now, some exciting news. I will be back at Donaheys Weekend in 2026.

"Now, you know me, and you know how much I love thest weekends. There's dancing, there is fun, you can dance, we can have a Q&A, you can ask me what you like - I'm so excited for this!"

It comes after some Strictly fans demanded Giovanni's return to the show. Giovanni wasn't invited to take part in the last series after an investigation into his behaviour on the show was conducted before he was cleared of the most serious allegations.

The BBC apologised to Sherlock star Amanda Abbington as they upheld some of her complaints against her former dance partner during the 2023 series.

Giovanni then went on to be crowned the winner of the Italian version of the BBC One dance contest and America's Dancing with the Stars alongside actress and singer Bianca Guaccero, who he is now in a relationship, following the show's final back in December.
