He would be working alongside a Love Island star and a drag queen

He was caught up in one of the most talked about Strictly Come Dancing scandals of all time, but now Giovanni Pernice is set to make his reality TV return.

Giovanni, who previously won the entertainment show alongside actress Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021, found himself in hot water after his 2023 partner Amanda Abbington accused the Italian dancer of 'bullying.'
The BBC investigated the claim with BBC News reporting that Amanda's 'complaints of verbal bullying and harassment were upheld, claims of physical aggression were not.'
Giovanni left Strictly Come Dancing in June 2024 as a result, but it looks as though he is set to return to UK TV this year as it has been reported that he could well be one of the many celebs taking part in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
'The former Strictly pro has been given odds of 10/11 to appear in the new series, putting him alongside GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes at the same odds,' The Mirror has revealed.

Love Island bombshell Chris Hughes has all but been confirmed as a housemate, with drag queen Danny Beard and TOWIE's Ella Rae Wise heavily rumoured to be taking part in the OG reality TV show, too.
Giovanni won't be the first Strictly professional to spend his spring in the Celebrity Big Brother house since it has been on ITV, as last year saw Nikita Kuzmin become a fan favourite during his stint on the show. In fact, Nikita made it to the final but ended up losing out to Ibiza Weekender icon David Potts.
Although this year's celebs are yet to be confirmed officially, Big Brother is known for picking controversial contestants and with all the drama surrounding Giovanni he more than fits the bill...
