Gia Giudice's State Line Meltdown: "I Can't Believe What Happens When You Leave NJ!"
Traffic jams and long commutes: no one knows the problem better than New Yorkers, especially those who have to go across town—or even to a neighboring state—to get to their jobs, parties, and friends. With that in mind, Gia Giudice isn't always eager to leave New Jersey to see her pals in the Big Apple.
“We make Gia cross state lines,” Emira D’Spain declares in the above trailer for Next Gen NYC.
Fans have known Gia since she was just a little girl and singing about “waking up in the morning, thinking so many things” on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and even though she’s grown up and making her own way in the world, she still has some fears about venturing out of the state she calls home.
“When you come into the city from Jersey, there is one way in, one way out,” Teresa Giudice's eldest daughter says in the clip. “Then you think to yourself, ‘What if the water comes in from the tunnel?’ You’re f—ked.”
Is Gia Giudice moving out of Teresa Giudice's house?
Although Gia will make the trip into NYC to see her friends, the Jersey girl isn’t completely leaving the nest just yet. She still lives at home with her mom, sisters, and stepfather, but that might change in the future due to her relationship with Christian Carmichael.
"Eventually, within the next year or so, I do think I want to move out, just because I want to experience that time together, I think," Gia explained on Teresa's podcast, Turning the Tables with Teresa Giudice. "Just to see how we live together, but, I really do want to move in with him, eventually."
Despite living at home, she tries to see Christian as much as she can.
"We both work a lot during the day, and a lot of the times, we like to come together at night," Gia explained during the March 30 episode of her podcast Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice. "We always sleep together — we basically sleep together almost every night."
Gia Giudice hits "pause" on law school for influencer career
What brings Gia to the Big Apple so often? Besides her friends, it's her career. Gia graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in criminal justice in May 2023, but decided to her put lawyer dreams on hold—just a bit. She told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in March 2024 that her law career is “still in the works.”
“I’m also riding out my influencer career right now, and really having a lot of fun with that,” she added.
In July 2024, Gia said that she’s focusing on influencing while studying for the LSAT at the same time.
"So, right now, I'm honestly just taking a pause from law school but it's not out of my cards," she explained during an Amazon Live stream. "Law will always be my passion and I'm honestly just having fun right now with my influencer career and just doing things with you guys. So, I'm really happy, and I am living out this part of my life right now."
