General Hospital's Steve Burton Confirms His New Relationship with Netflix's BBQ Showdown Star hangg

The General Hospital star, 53, is in a relationship with Netflix's BBQ Showdown competitor Michelle Lundstrom, PEOPLE can confirm.

Burton first confirmed the news to Daily Drama, who shared images of the two holding hands out on a stroll, with Lundstrom holding tightly to Burton's arm, and cuddling up near the skyline of what appears to be the Empire State Building.

Lundstrom competed on season 2 of the Netflix series. These days, she appears to stay busy as a content creator, posting tasty recipes on her Instagram and TikTok.

The Daytime Emmy winner took to Instagram Stories in May 2022 to reveal that he and his wife of 23 years, Sheree Burton, were separated. Earlier that month, Sheree teased a fourth child with a selfie showing off her baby bump.

“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated," he wrote. "She recently announced that she's expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve."

Two months later, a rep for Burton confirmed to PEOPLE that the actor had filed for divorce from Sheree in the Orange County Superior Court. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for separation.

In December 2023, Burton finalized the terms of his divorce. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the exes agreed to share legal and physical custody of their minor children, and Steve is required to pay Sheree $12,500 per month in child support, which was reduced to $10,000 after April 2024.

Shortly after the veteran soap star settled his divorce, he departed from the Peacock soap opera Days of Our Lives

“I just shot my final scenes here at Days of Our Lives," he began in a video message to fans. "I just want to say thank you so much to the cast [and] to the crew. Everybody. It's been amazing.”

The next day, Steve announced his return to General Hospital, which he had starred on from 1991 to 2012 and 2017 to 2021. He reprised his role as Jason Morgan on the March 4 episode of the long-running soap opera, three years after his character’s fate was left ambiguous when a tunnel collapsed on him.

“It was incredible going back,” Steve said of his comeback on The Daily Drama Podcast. “Just the welcome back from everybody on the lot, starting with the people at the gate. It was amazing.”
