The TOWIE icon has always had Harry's back
Let's be honest, if there's one woman you want in your corner in an almighty Essex-based brawl it's TOWIE legend Gemma Collins.
The former star of the ITVBe show has been involved in some of the biggest rows to ever grace our telly screens and, let's be honest, they're what made her an icon.
Okay, maybe that and the time she told Arg he 'wasn't ever going to get this candy' and every move made and word uttered on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.
One of the biggest brawls to rock the TOWIE cast in recent months is the love triangle that is Harry Derbidge, Joe Blackman and Junaid Ahmed. ICYMI, Harry and Joe were on the rocks, Junaid and Joe shacked up, and Harry, understandably, felt horribly betrayed by his ex and his ex bestie (who are still together).
While he's had a tremendous about of support from his friends and family on the show, a key figure in Harry's healing journey (turned glow-up - we'll get to that in a minute) is his friend and former cast mate, Gemma.
The GC has been pretty vocal about how she has helped Harry through this recent bump in the road, but until now, she hadn't taken aim at the parties responsible publicly. As we say, until now.
And being The GC, the shade was thrown with the perfect mix of brutality and hilarity.
Earlier this week, the TOWIE cast returned to filming for series 35 (unreal) and naturally, virtually everyone involved took to their individual socials to announce that they had made the cut/tease the new series, including Harry. Clearly feeling his oats (and rightly so) – he's been hitting the gym and putting his wellbeing first after splitting from Joe – Harry posted a selection of glorious full-length snaps showcasing his new swagger and style and captioned the post, 'Day 1 / series 35 @towie / no tears this season 😇.'
Gemma was quick to like the post and share her thoughts, indirectly throwing some savage shade in Joe and Junaid's direction, writing, 'Please don’t take any new lovers on!!! You're the star Harry, not them ❤️.'
No, we are obsessed. Only The GC could fire such shots...
Speaking of his recent transformation and looking back at a difficult 2024, Harry wrote in a separate post, 'Last year I feel like a lot of sh*t happened to me, it was like a domino effect of bad which I faced lonely, and instead of going out drinking Prosecco like it’s going out of fashion… which is what I would have done before, I turned it around and put my mind and body in a new place, and I am so proud of myself for that.'
New year, new H. New year, same GC, it would seem. And we love it.
