Megan got the bug for cooking after two succesful Celebrity MasterChef stints and now shares daily recipes with her fans online.

The former TOWIE star, who is currently pregnant with her first child with fiance Oliver Burke, has continued to share the various different dishes she has been curating throughout her pregnancy.

In her latest video, the star was creating a sushi dish to eat.

Alongside a video of her creating the sushi roll, Megan captioned the clip: "I just made gf sushi and it tasted great.

"I mean it took me a while to roll and work it out but I’m so proud! I’m so tired of reading the back of sushi packets and it ALL containing wheat!! Why.

"Anyway making jt at home is way safer and makes me eat it with full enjoyment."

She went on to further share a small pregnancy update with her followers as she said: "Had a pregnancy massage today.. wow it’s needed now! As you can see the baby is growinggggg!!!

"It’s also been moving and rolling and kicking so much! It’s the best feeling in the world. Apart from when it knocks me down below, then that’s not such a great feeling haha."

However, the star was left hounded by unexpected criticism underneath the post.

Many of Megan's fans were quick to call out the star for eating sushi whilst pregnant - with many healthcare professionals advising against eating raw fish whilst with child.

One fan barked at Megan: "I didn’t think you could eat raw fish when pregnant well at least that is what my doctor advised me."

Another similarly added: "I could have swore shellfish was off the menu when I was pregnant?"

But Megan wasted no time in letting her fans know that what she was eating was in fact safe for her.

At first, the High Heeled Shoes singer said: "It's not raw."

Before she later added on eating shellfish: "If it’s cooked it’s ok x."

Earlier this week, Megan was forced to defend herself again against cruel trolls who called out her "puffy" lips in another cooking video.

The TV star said she was "sick" of people accusing her of having work done as she called out the follower.

Whilst most of the comments were filled with excitement for the Towie star, one wrote: "Have you had your lips done again !! Wtf."

Megan, 31, hit back: "No! Sick of people saying this. Pregnancy has made my face puff a tiny bit. Do you really think I'm going to get cosmetics during my IVF journey and pregnancy?!!!!! Come on."

"Saying 'wtf' literally judging before even having an answer. Please leave my page," she added.

Sushi and Pregnancy

The NHS states that sushi is safe to eat in pregnancy "as long as the fish has been cooked thoroughly".

It further adds that pregnant women can eat cooked fish and seafood as well as cooked shellfish, such as mussels, lobster, crab, prawns, scallops and clams.

However, the NHS states that ready-to-eat cold-smoked or cured fish should be avoided due to potential contamination with listeria bacteria.

These bacteria can cause an infection called listeriosis, which can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth, or make your newborn baby seriously ill.

It further adds that raw shellfish should be avoided because they can have harmful bacteria, viruses or toxins in them. These can make you unwell and give you food poisoning.
