Former “Southern Charm” star Thomas Ravenel is engaged to fiancée Heather Mascoe five months after welcoming their first child together, according to a new report.
The Daily Mail shared on Tuesday that Ravenel, 58, has described himself as “happily engaged” and revealed he has no plans to sign a prenuptial agreement with Mascoe, 38.
When the couple welcomed their son, Jonathan, in June, they were not together, but the disgraced politician maintained that he and the nurse were “really good friends” at the time.
On the current season of “Southern Charm,” Ravenel’s ex, Kathryn Dennis, appeared blindsided when she learned of Mascoe’s pregnancy.
Dennis, 29, had been temporarily living with Ravenel as they co-parented their two children, 6-year-old Kensie and 4-year-old Saint, at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mascoe was already pregnant during this time.
“I cannot believe I’ve been living in the house with this man who has been hiding a secret that he has a child on the way,” Dennis said in a confessional on the show. “Meanwhile, I’m like, ‘Oh, maybe if we got back together, this is what it would be like.’ My family, a piece of it was taken away. It’s no longer the Ravenels.”
Ravenel and Dennis were never married, but have been embroiled in a contentious custody battle for years.
However, Ravenel has been married once before.
The former South Carolina state treasurer wed his first wife, Mary Ryan Ravenel, in 1995. The couple separated only 13 months later and were legally divorced by 1998.
