Former Real Housewives of Potomac Stars Where Are They Now

Over the years, the Real Housewives of Potomac series has parted ways with several cast members.

Viewers said goodbye to Monique Samuels after her altercation with Candiace Dillard-Bassett during season 5 made her reconsider her time on the show. After joining the series in 2017, Monique and Candiace initially formed a close friendship. Things took a turn, however, when a miscommunication escalated into a physical fight.

Cameras were rolling as Monique grabbed Candiace by the hair during October 2020 episode and then proceeded to pull her down. Later in the episode, the businesswoman attempted to run back into the building to continue her argument with Candiace.

Monique, who shares three kids with husband Chris Samuels, was later charged with second-degree assault. The “Not for Lazy Moms” podcast host filed a counterclaim against Candiace the same month. Both assault charges were dismissed in December 2020.

Following an appearance in the season 5 reunion, Monique announced her exit from RHOP. Although Monique seemingly has no plans to return to the franchise, her former costar Katie Rost has made cameos since her respective departure. After appearing in the first season of the show, Katie’s full-time role was reduced and she didn’t appear in season 3.

The model briefly returned in season 4 in a “friend” of status but later claimed she was not invited to the reunion. More recently, she popped up for a brief appearance during season 7 in October 2022.

Katie Rost
The OG cast member went through some major ups and downs since leaving the show after season 1.

Katie, who shares son James and twin daughters Renee and Kathryn with ex-husband James Orsini, was caught up in a messy custody battle in 2019. She later noted on social media that she was reunited with her kids.

Katie was briefly engaged to a boyfriend in 2019. She also took to social media that year to candidly address her past miscarriages. Since taking a step away from reality TV, Katie has reopened up her online jewelry store, The Katie Shop. She also continues to manage Sunny Hill Farm, where people can rent a log cabin retreat.

Katie shocked viewers when she appeared in the second episode of season 7. In February 2023, Katie revealed she had taken a minimum wage job at an organic market following a stint in rehab. She announced later that year that she was back in rehab for alcohol abuse.

In July 2021, Monique confirmed that her family’s parrot, T’Challa, passed away from a freak accident.

The TV personality, who celebrated 10 years of marriage with Chris in 2022, took to social media that same year to slam divorce rumors. In a YouTube video, the couple revealed they were going to counseling to address issues in their relationship but had no plans to call it quits. Less than a year later, however, Monique filed for divorce from the former NFL player in June 2023.
