The Capitals are back skating at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
To open the month of August, the Washington Capitals kicked off their informal summer skates on Thursday, as John Carlson and Alex Alexeyev took the ice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
The two were also spotted in the team's new Fanatics practice jerseys as the league shifts away from Adidas. Washington's new sweaters say "Property of Washington Capitals" on the front, with more coloring on the side of the jersey.

The Capitals usually skate informally as more players make their to D.C. in the month leading up to training camp, which is expected to start in mid-September. Alex Ovechkin usually arrives back in the United States at the start of September.
