Paige DeSorbo is clearing up some of the rumors and misconceptions about her November 2024 breakup from Craig Conover. The Summer House cast member weighed in on Craig's comment that he was "blindsided" by the split during the April 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"Obviously, yeah, it wasn't [mutual]," she said, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post. "I broke up with him, but I felt like he was saying that because he wanted that victim — he wanted people to be like, 'She did it, she caused this.' And so I was like, 'OK.'"
Though Paige and Craig have both been candid about some of the cracks in their relationship in the months since they split, the Giggly Squad co-host only wants the best for her ex. "I wish him well," she said. "But in a Gwyneth Paltrow way."
When asked if she wanted to clear up anything from what Craig said about the split from the Southern Charm Season 10 reunion, the New York City resident said yes.
"I mean, all of it," she said about Craig's comments that the two were discussing an engagement and living together shortly before their split. "I loved listening to it because I was like, 'What a fun story.'"
Paige DeSorbo reveals the biggest misconception about her breakup
She also revealed what she believes the biggest misconception about her split is. "I don't ever want people to think that I was leading Craig on. I loved him, I wanted to marry him, that was very real," she said. "And I think in the summer, you kind of see me go through all of those emotions in real time. I can see my brain working as I watch it back."
Paige also fired back at the claim that she led Craig on and should have been more willing to want to settle down.
"There's definitely misogyny in the world. I feel like I definitely got hit with a lot of it," she explained. "I was not expecting as much as I got hit with. But, I think we probably both got [an] equal amount of hate, which I never want."
Paige DeSorbo shares why she's not "mad" that people dissect her breakup
As for her reaction to all of the chat surrounding her split, Paige said it's par for the course. "I'm on reality TV," she said to host Andy Cohen as he asked her whether she's annoyed at all of the questions he had for her about her split. "It's kind of part of the operation, and I would take the hate 10 times over if it meant I'm at where I am in my life now, so I'm fine with it."
