The star laughed as she detailed her cycling 400km across the Nile
Loose Women star Coleen Nolan recalled 'hardest thing' she's had to do as she laughed about a fitness journey she didn't mean to go on.
During Wednesday's installment, Coleen was head of the panel as she was joined by Janet Street-Porter, Linda Robson and Kelly Brook.
Kelly started the conversation by opening up about her experience during the London marathon. The star competed alongside her husband Jeremy Parisi, but after the run she suffered a painful stress fracture on her foot, which she said is ‘quite common’ for runners.
She admitted that she'll be wearing the boot for at least six weeks while her foot heels, but was happy that she had her medal - which she showed off to the rest of the studio.
As the panel discussed their own fitness mishaps, Coleen opened up about her cycling across the length of the Nile. With the audience beginning to laugh, she added that she "didn't mean to" but was being serious.
Coleen cycled 400km along the banks of the Nile in Egypt to raise money for the Alzheimer's society, but she revealed that she assumed she'd be the celebrity star to help cheer people on, instead of actually participating.
She shared: "It was bubble wrap because my bottom was cut. I had to wear bubble wrap and say to everyone, I promise it's bubble wrap! Honestly, it was the hardest thing I ever did."
The star continued: "I felt really proud, I hadn't trained for it. It was 80km a day and I hadn't trained for it, but I managed to do it. I was proud of myself."
She joked: "But there wasn't one single moment where I thought 'I'm gonna do that again'. I thought 'well done, now go home, get a grip and a Mars bar'."
Coleen's mother, Maureen, had dementia during the last five years of her life. She previously shared: "Having had many family members now with cancer, and losing them to that, my mum's condition was the most traumatic for me - and for us as a family.
"When my sisters had cancer they were still aware. You could talk about things and say your goodbyes and hear their wishes."
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
