The TOWIE cast start filming series 36 very soon
Let's be very, very clear about something: reality stars don't take to their Instagram grid posts lightly and they are very, very careful about their captions. This especially applies to you if you're a social-media-savvy TOWIE star like Ella Rae Wise.
So, basically - if it's on the grid, some thought and intention has gone into it. So you can imagine the way our eyes widened when the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 star posted a sultry snap of her self staring directly into the camera with the one-word caption, 'cheater'.
Our showbiz brains went in three different directions here. Our first thought was that it's very possible the reality star is referring to her cheetah-print outfit in the snap in question and just misspelled the word.
Then we remembered the golden rule above and came to the conclusion that this weighty word might just be aimed in the direction of somebody (as well as being a nod to her animal print).
Naturally, we recalled how just last week it was confirmed that her and her ex Dan Edgar (who she split with days ahead of her Celebrity Big Brother stint last month – just weeks after going official on TOWIE) are set to reunite on yet another TOWIE trip very soon.
The pair aren’t thought to be on the best terms at the moment following their breakup, which is a bit awkward as they’re going to be reunited in just a few weeks when the TOWIE cast jet off to Portugal to start filming series 36.
Speaking about the reunion to The Mirror just last week, Ella said, 'On screen, definitely, we probably will film together. We go away for 10 days as a cast for the new series, so who knows? But I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get away from him as we'd all be in the same hotel.'
As for whether they can patch things up and be friends, Ella said, ‘Just because me and Dan didn't work doesn't mean we can't be friends and we can be amicable because we really get on and it's not like anyone was deceitful to each other or anything bad happened. We just wasn't working and that's also okay.’
The 'cheater' comment also has us wondering whether Ella still holds some resentment towards her CBB housemates JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes, who grew close in the house and whose relationship led to JoJo breaking up with her partner at the wrap party. Fast forward a few weeks and let's be honest, JoJo and Chris are together and close in some shape or form.
So was Ella's caption shade directed at Dan, JoJo or just a misspelling of the word 'cheetah'? Either way we're obsessed and here for the drama as always.
