Ella has spilled some serious CBB tea
We've said it before and we'll see it again, these veteran reality stars know exactly what they're doing when it comes to navigating the world of showbiz, and TOWIE queen turned Celebrity Big Brother star Ella Rae Wise is certainly no exception.
The TOWIE star recently admitted to fully 'teeing up' the buzz around that showmance-that-never-happened with Love Island's Chris Hughes prior to her entering the house last month. And while the 'showmance' ended up getting stuck in the sand/lost in a lake/that's as far as our golf course lexicon goes, it seems she did give it one heck of a good swing before entering the CBB house...
Speaking candidly on GK Barry's Saving Grace podcast alongside fellow CBB housemate, Danny Beard, Ella commented on the rumours that her and Chris would 'hit it off' inside the house (then, of course, he glued himself to JoJo Siwa's hip for three weeks), admitting to fanning the flames.
Ella said, 'Similar industry, same age range - they just think it's gonna work, but [Chris is] not my type at all and I might have done an article as a bit of banter before going in there going, "If Chris Hughes is in there, you better lock me up," but listen, it's a bit of banter.'
Hilariously, Danny piped up asking, 'You stupid cow, did you say that?'
To which Ella replied, 'Listen, it's a bit of banter, and you've got to tee it up before you go in there anyway.'

To be fair, while keeping the rumour mill spinning is all part of the Big Brother game before and after the cameras start rolling, according to Ella, in reality, she had no intention of embarking on a romance inside the CBB house.
She said, 'I never wanted to go into that experience having a romance on there, because every other show I have done, that's happened for me. And it's not like I've ever really focused on myself; I've stayed in those situations because of that romance in the show. I wanted it to be all about me, not about what I'm doing on someone else.'
On the same podcast, Ella also spilled the tea on the TOWIE co-stars who shunned her when it was revealed she had signed up to CBB, telling host Grace, 'As much as we’re a dysfunctional family on TOWIE, I still support everyone’s wins and I don’t understand why they didn’t [support] mine. But, listen, it’s noted. It’s a very ugly trait to have.'
Ella was evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house after 16 days, finishing in eighth place.
