"I am so saddened by the decision."
Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan has split from boyfriend Alex.
The pair originally met on Celebs Go Dating last year, though Ella has shared in an Instagram Stories post today (January 2) that she is "saddened" to confirm they have now separated.
Revealing that she has had many "questions" in the last few days over their status, Ella wrote: "I was hoping to do this in my own time after the festive period so I could focus on spending time with my family.
"Unfortunately we made the decision to separate in December and I am so saddened by the decision, but it was the right thing to do to protect myself and ultimately, for us to both be happy.
"I'm incredibly grateful for @celebsgodating and the amazing team who introduced us," she continued. "Since meeting in July, my time with Alex has helped me grow massively as a person and I now know what I want from a man in my next relationship."
Ella added that she will "cherish the memories we made" and that she wishes Alex "the very best".
"2025 is the time to focus on myself, and my career, and I can't wait!" the star concluded the post. "Thank you so much for all your continued love, and the support around the news. Love always, Ella x."
The news comes after Ella revealed to Digital Spy back in November that she and Alex were "going strong" and that they had even talked about potential wedding plans.
Meanwhile, the star is due to next appear on a MAFS UK reunion episode in February, which will reportedly feature stars of the recent season as well as Ella's in 2023.
