DWTS Star Fires Back After Photo With Son Sparks Major Backlash trucc

DWTS' Pro Jenna Johnson Hits Back at Online 'Bully' Who Criticized Her Parenting - IMDb

Dancing With The Stars pro Jenna Johnson had some harsh words for an online troll who messaged her about her son, Rome. Jenna has been a pro since Dancing With The Stars season 23, and her husband Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who is also a pro dancer on the famed reality dance competition show, share a 2-year-old son. Jenna won Dancing With The Stars season 33 with partner Joey Graziadei.

Jenna Johnson shared a horrifying message she received after posting a photo of herself with Rome.
Jenna took to her Instagram Stories to share a message she received after posting a photo of herself with Rome drinking a bottle after not seeing him for a few days. She posted a message she received, which was shared again on Reddit by user No-Discipline-3610, that said, "Way too old for this fat ****** to have a bottle," and wrote that she was usually open to polite feedback, but this message was over the line.

"What world are we living in?? I understand that I put my life out there publicly, which I honestly want to STOP doing when extremely rude and harmful messages toward my baby are sent to me. But are we ok as a society? ... I love my social media community on here and really feel so connected to each of you. But enough is enough with the sad trolls/ bullies on here. Please unfollow me IMMEDIATELY and respectfully get a life."

What Jenna Johnson’s Reaction To Backlash Means

Jenna has every right to share the hateful message she received on social media. She simply posted a sweet photo of her reunion with her son, and the message she received about her son being too old for a bottle was over the line. Jenna is a mom, as was the person who direct messaged her, and she felt the need to stand up and expose the person who messaged her.

Jenna said she understood that she was a public figure, but then questioned whether "society" was okay after receiving the message. Online hate and bullying are major problems in society today, and by exposing the message, Jenna is lifting the veil on the types of messages she and other celebrities no doubt receive.

Many might feel that celebrities give up their right to common human decency because they are famous, but Jenna is letting the public know that she won't stand for it, regardless of her status as a public figure. She will put online critics on blast, as is her right.

Our Take On Jenna Johnson’s Reaction After Photo Backlash

By exposing the person who sent her the hateful message about Rome, Jenna is taking a stand. She's sending a message that hateful messages about her family will not be tolerated. Those who want to send Jenna anything rude about her son will risk her publicly shaming them, and she's not afraid to show that.

The Dancing With The Stars pro is speaking up for celebrities who share their lives with the public and reap the benefits of that public fame. Along with fame comes scrutiny, but messages about her son that cross the line the way this one did should be made public. It might cause online trolls to think twice before they send another hateful message again.
