'Dancing With the Stars' pro-turned-judge Derek Hough is calling out the "hardcore" fans.

Dancing With the Stars is celebrating its 20th anniversary this week, and pro-turned-judge Derek Hough is calling out the "hardcore, amazing fans" to help him out.

In an Instagram video, Hough challenges fans to dig deep and find some of their favorite moments over the past 20 years.

"Holy cow, ladies and gentlemen, 20 years of Dancing With the Stars! Can you freaking believe it? It is unbelievable. I am so thankful to be part of such an amazing show. I'm calling out all the hardcore amazing fans who've been here from the beginning, who can go down memory lane and can find some really deep cuts. Deep cuts that we might have forgotten about, but you're just like, 'no, no, no, no, we have to bring this back up. It's too amazing.

"It could've been a performance, it could've been a package moment, it could've been about any moment that just really stands out or sticks in your brain. I would love for you to post it, tag me in it, and I'll repost it. I really wanna celebrate Dancing With the Stars this week and by doing that, I wanna include you by sharing videos or moments and things in the past 20 years of 500-plus episodes of Dancing With the Stars that you can recall, go back and we can all share and enjoy together," said Hough.

In the caption, he added, "Unforgettable, or even forgettable moments that we need to remember. Let’s all go on a little trip down memory lane together, celebrating this iconic show. Tag me and I will share my favorites in my story."

Dancing With the Stars first premiered on June 1, 2005. It was a summer reality show at the time, but it became such a hit right out of the gate that ABC quickly moved it to broadcast year primetime, debuting the second season in January 2006.

Many of the cast members and even former host Tom Bergeron posted memories and celebratory statements on social media on June 1 to mark the 20th anniversary of the beloved ballroom dancing competition show.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 34th season in the fall of 2025. If the pattern holds, it will premiere Tuesday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Hulu.
