Dancing With the Stars” season 31 champ Charli D’Amelio has an important piece of advice for fellow influencer Alix Earle ahead of her appearance on the show. “I would say share as much of the journey as possible,” D’Amelio told People.
In May it was announced that Earle would be a contestant on the upcoming season 34 of the show. Earle, a successful influencer and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, already has a built-in fanbase thanks to her huge social media following.
D’Amelio, who won the show with her dance partner Mark Ballas, is a successful influencer as well, and she says she wished she’d documented more of her “DWTS” journey for her legions of fans. “Mark and I, we were definitely the worst people at social media when it came to our season because we were so locked into rehearsal,” she admitted.
She continued, “I do that sometimes, where I forget about social media when I’m doing something else that I really want to give 100 percent of my time and effort to.”
D’Amelio Cherished Her Time on the Show
D’Amelio, who is currently starring on Broadway in the hit musical “& Juliet,” counts her “DWTS” run as “some of the best times of my life.”
The 21-year-old gushed about her experience on the show, telling People, “I’m forever so grateful that they gave the opportunity to someone that is in a position like mine to be able to do such an amazing, beautiful show surrounded by so many creative people.”
Although her advice for Earl is practical, D’Amelio emphasized the importance of documenting the “DWTS” experience for another reason as well.
“I still will look back on the old videos of rehearsal times and all of the fun that we had and just enjoy every moment,” she shared, adding, “It truly is so, so, so much fun, and that is one of my favorite things that I’ve ever accomplished.”
Earle May Have Another Advantage
Earle has achieved major successes in recent years, landing on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2024 and gracing the cover of The Wall Street Journal in May. She also starred in not one, but two commercials during the 2025 Super Bowl.
These are huge feats for the 24-year-old, but they won’t necessarily help her win votes on “DWTS.” However, Earle does have something in her repertoire that will come in handy, a background in dance. “I danced when I was little until my sophomore year of high school …,” she revealed during an interview with “Good Morning America.”
She’s also been a longtime fan of the show. “I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma …,” she shared. “I was so in love with dance.”
