Dr. Heavenly Kimes, a fan favorite from Married to Medicine, is no stranger to stirring up drama on and off-screen. However, her recent comments about gay men have sparked a significant controversy that has many questioning her views. During a heated discussion on the latest episode of the show, the outspoken dentist made a remark that quickly caught the attention of fans.
"If you have a conversation with somebody and it goes to the left, most men – real men, not gay men, not b*tch men, the guys that are kinda soft – real men… straight men… are gonna feel like 'if you tell my wife to shut the f**k up I'm gonna have a problem with it,'" she stated in the clip shown on Twitter, formerly known as X.
The remark instantly ignited outrage on social media, with many fans accusing Heavenly of being disrespectful and perpetuating harmful stereotypes about gay men.
"Heavenly needs to hush, because this ain't it," one fan tweeted, while another added, "So what you're saying is that gay men aren't real men? Heavenly, you really should know better."
Others voiced their frustration, criticizing her for the way she speaks about people, both on and off the show.
"Heavenly always has something reckless to say, and this time she put her foot in her mouth big time," one user remarked. Another fan wrote, "How does she say something so offensive and then act like it wasn’t meant that way? Girl, just say you messed up."
As the backlash continued to grow, Heavenly took to X (formerly Twitter) to apologize for her words.
"I'm with you. I apologize. It was an ignorant statement," she tweeted. "I'm a grown a** woman. I can admit when I'm wrong. I didn't mean it that way."
