Dorit Kemsley doesn’t believe RHOBH co-star Kathy Hilton is as “oblivious” as she appears.
Kathy Hilton has become known for her antics on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Some fans wonder if it’s all an act. Dorit Kemsley sounded off on Tuesday’s episode, where Kathy nearly interrupted Sutton Stracke’s fashion show. She believes that Kathy isn’t as “oblivious” as she comes off.
Run-In At The Fashion Show
Tuesday’s episode of RHOBH mostly centered around Sutton’s fashion show. This was a big moment for her since she unveiled her new sustainable line. Jennifer Tilly was supposed to be the star of the show. However, Kathy stole the spotlight from the moment she arrived. She told her cast members that her knee was broken.
Then, she had a great idea for Sutton’s fashion show. She suggested that Dorit Kemsley would narrate the meaning behind the capsule collection. However, there’s just one little problem. Dorit and Sutton aren’t the best of friends. Why would she want Dorit to lead the show? Kathy continued to hold things up backstage.
The show was beginning to start. Most of the RHOBH ladies were seated. Kathy limped out onto the catwalk. She didn’t notice that the models were coming out from backstage. Garcelle Beauvais told Kyle Richards to “grab your sister right now.” But it was too late. Kathy told Dorit that her suggestion was “very sweet.”
What Does Dorit Kemsley Think?
Kathy seemed oblivious to her surroundings during that episode. However, Dorit begs to differ. In the latest episode of the RHOBH After Show, she shared her take on Kathy’s antics. Dorit told her co-star Bozoma Saint-John that it’s all an act. What you see is what you get with Kathy. She keeps it real. Kathy and her daughter Paris Hilton dared comedian Tiffany Haddish to crash the runway at the 2024 New York Fashion Week.
Dorit recalled the moment. Kathy said she wanted to “make a joke with Sutton” about Dorit. In a solo interview, Kyle explained that her sister wanted to play a “practical joke” on Sutton by having Dorit narrate the show since “she’s the fashionista.” Sutton rejected Kathy’s offer because she was having a “real fashion show.”
However, Sutton wasn’t mad at Kathy for that moment. She never gets mad at her because they’re good friends. In her solo interview, Kathy explained why she had a run-in with one of the models on the catwalk. She stopped to say hi to Erika Jayne’s mom “to show respect.” Kathy was shocked to learn the show was starting. She assumed they were going to wait “20 to 30 minutes” for the show to start.
Is Kathy Unaware?
Erika didn’t find that moment funny. She explained that she’s a professional who always starts her concerts on time. She never likes to “f*** up anyone’s show.” Meanwhile, Bozoma told Dorit that Kathy seemed “unaware” of her surroundings. “That’s really funny that you actually think that because I think that’s what she wants people to think,” Dorit said.
Bozoma was shocked by her friend’s stunning admission. “So, you think she did that on purpose?” she asked. “Kathy is not an oblivious person. She’s very shrewd, she’s very clever,” Dorit responded. But she doesn’t think Kathy did it on purpose. In this case, she was in on the joke.
