Dianne Buswell was seemingly left emotional as she made an admission about Strictly Come Dancing amid her return for the upcoming series.
The dancer joined her fellow professionals earlier this week for the start of rehearsals for the 2025 run of the BBC One dance contest.
It was back in April that the BBC confirmed the professional line-up for the upcoming run of the hit dance show. As well as Dianne, Amy Dowden, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Gorka Marquez and Luba Mushtuk will all take to the floor once more.
They will also be joined by Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Nancy Xu, Kai Widdrington, Michelle Tsiakkas, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Nikita Kuzmin and Vito Coppola.
It was also confirmed that two new professional dancers will be joining the show and the newcomers have since been revealed as So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australia’s Dancing With The Stars' Julian Caillon.
They were seen joining the pros in preparation for Strictly 2025 as rehearsals kicked off on Monday (July 28) ahead of the group numbers being pre-recorded in early August, to be used throughout the series when it makes a sparkling return in the autumn.
Meanwhile, Dianne was reminded of her most recent success on the popular programme, having lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy alongside Chris McCausland in December.
There were then emotional scenes in December when the comedian and the professional dancer won the 2024 series after beating their fellow finalists in a glittering finale.
Ahead of the new series beginning, a fan created a video featuring photos of Dianne and Chris from throughout their time on Strictly together, while the audio playing was Chris getting emotional as he spoke about his experience.
Resharing the video to her Instagram Story, Dianne posted a face holding back tears emoji and a red heart icon and said: "Strictly changes lives."
It comes after Dianne said she is prepared to leave Strictly temporarily to start a family with her boyfriend Joe Sugg. The 36-year-old dancer met the 33-year-old YouTube star when they were partnered together on the hit BBC One dancing show back in 2018.
The couple, who made it to the competition's final before being beaten by fellow lovebirds Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, have "always wanted" to start a family, and she said they will try to have children when "everything aligns" in their lives.
Dianne told the September issue of Prima magazine: "When Joe and I met, it wasn’t until the show ended that we realised we missed each other’s company a lot – our relationship went from there. We always got on, he was so funny to me, and I loved how creative he was. We’ve always wanted kids, it’s just finding the right time.
"I don’t feel worried about taking time out from dancing, I just don’t see the point in worrying. When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I’m quite spiritual."
