Dancing With the Stars is back with a new episode on Tuesday, Oct. 15, where the couples will grace the ballroom and pay tribute to the people and institutions that have shaped their lives. Read on to find out what to expect in Week 5, including the dances and songs the contestants will perform.
Last week, ABC’s beloved dancing competition bid farewell to two pairs in the double elimination of the season. Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart, along with Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater, were sent home after receiving the lowest combined totals of judges' scores and viewer votes from Soul Train night and Hair Metal night.
Now, there are only nine couples left going into Week 5. Frontrunners Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson ended last week on top of the leaderboard with 70/80 points. Actress Chandler Kinney and her partner, Brandon Armstrong, followed close behind with 69 out of 80 points.
Tuesday’s show will not only be special because of the theme; Derek and Hayley Hough will dance together to “Beautiful Things (Acoustic)” by Benson Boone, marking Hayley’s return to the ballroom after she underwent multiple brain surgeries last year.
Meanwhile, former pro dancer Mark Ballas will be the special guest judge for Dedication Night. Last week’s guest judge, KISS frontman Gene Simmons, sparked controversy for his “creepy” comments and harsh scores.
