Dancing With the Stars alum Jennie Garth says she doesn't know how to dance anymore: 'I've lost it' tram

Dancing is not, apparently, just like riding a bike.

At least not for Jennie Garth, who revealed on a recent episode of her podcast, "I Choose Me," that she doesn't remember how to dance anymore, despite competing on Dancing With the Stars.

"I don't [know how to] any more," Garth told her guest Chelsea Handler when the comic asked her about her dancing skills. "Once you do it, if you don't do it more, you lose it, so I've lost it."

Garth appeared on the ABC dance competition on season 5, all the way back in 2007. She was partnered with now-judge Derek Hough and the pair made it all the way to the semi-finals. Race car driver Hélio Castroneves and Hough's sister, Julianne (who now cohosts the show), won the mirrorball trophy that season.

The subject of dancing came up because Handler is turning 50 on Feb. 25 and the two ladies were discussing Handler's plans to celebrate — and she hopes to eliminate some of her own self-doubts going into this new decade. "Any time now that I'm resistant toward anything, I just go for it," Handler explained. "Like I'm really bad at dancing, and I decided I'm just gonna start dancing. I'm very self-conscious. I know I'm a bad dancer and I feel like everyone's staring at me and I'm like, 'You know what this is good, you're gonna start dancing at 50 and it doesn't matter.'"

Handler added that she isn't necessarily looking to master any one particular style of dance, but instead to let herself feel free to dance in the moment when it moves her. "My one self-conscious thing is my dancing," she said. "I'm gonna start dancing and not care what anyone thinks"

Garth promised that she would mark Handler's birthday by dancing from home, which prompted Handler to question what abilities Garth had retained from her time on DWTS.

In Handler's case, she's not looking for a massive birthday party because she feels so much of her life already is one. "So much of my life is a celebration," she reflected. "I've had so many nights where I've felt like it is my wedding. I get up on stage every weekend and perform in front of thousands of people, that feels pretty f--ing awesome every time. That feels like a birthday party."

Well, Chelsea, we hope you dance.
