Controversial Love Islander QUITS villa after tearful breakdown – and is already on their way home ngocc

Footballer Harrison Solomon, 22, decided to leave the show after being involved in one of the most dramatic love triangles in the show's history.

The Derby lad, who is based in Miami, has been flip-flopping between Toni Laites and Lauren Wood for days - leaving both of them in tears along the way.

Harrison left the villa late on Thursday night and will be heading home soon.

A source said: "It's been a momentous few days for Harrison and ultimately he has decided to quit.

"Everyone was so shocked and people were crying and hugging him.

"He worked through everything with the ITV duty of care team and is making his way home to his family now."

Last night's episode included a tense challenge which saw the couples decide who should place first, second and third after a number of questions were put to the public.

Among them were "which couple is coasting?", "who is the biggest game player?" and "who is in the most one-sided relationship?".

There was a familiar theme with Harrison and Toni, Dejon Williams and Meg Moore, and Harry Cooksley and Helena Ford making up the top three in most categories.

The day before, Harrison got emotional after seeing the devastation he was causing.

Controversially, he made a plea to Toni ahead of the latest recoupling to pick him, despite having had sex with Lauren the night before.

Toni's decision to choose him blindsided their exes Cach Mercer and Lauren, with both left sobbing after being embarrassed in front of their friends.

Earlier that day, she'd told Lauren she was done with Harrison.

Sitting by the fire pit, she said: “He's all yours, girlfriend.

"I'm removing myself from this.

“This is getting f**king ridiculous and it's making me nasty.

“He's lying to both of us. I can't keep doing this.”

Though he was warned by multiple people that he now needed to focus on Toni, Harrison couldn't help himself.

He complimented Lauren's looks last night when he saw her wearing a red bikini and refused to close the door completely.

She was even caught helping him floss his teeth, which proved to be the final straw for Toni, who accused him of constantly making her look stupid.
