Coleen Nolan was seen breaking into tears as she was surprised by her family on her 60th birthday. The Loose Women star previously told how she wasn't making a fuss of the occasion following the recent loss of her sister, Linda.

But she said her daughter, Ciara, would make sure she celebrated the special day and Coleen has since taken to social media with a video showing exactly what her children had up their sleeves.

In a video posted to Instagram, the TV star could be seen alongside Ciara as she beamed at their trip to one of her favourite spots, Hettys Tea Shop in Froghall, Stoke-On-Trent.

Once inside, Coleen stepped into where she thought she'd be sitting down for afternoon tea, which she eventually did, only to find a number of her loved ones ready to surprise her.

Captioning a video, in which the moment she was surprised by her family was included as well as a look at the delicious-looking food they tucked into and Coleen's emotional speech, the birthday girl wrote: "An unforgettable birthday surprise at @hettysteashop - I’ve had such an amazing birthday! Thank you all for the wonderful messages."

In her speech, Coleen was heard speaking about how the year had been bittersweet so far following the death of Linda, with her wearing pink in tribute. She also said that she 'went big' with her 40th and 50th celebrations but that celebrating how she has her 60th has been the 'best'.

Responding to the post, Myleene Klass wrote: "Happy birthday beautiful Col. Utterly adore you and respect everything you have built. You deserve the most amazing day." Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick shared: "Happy birthday to you." Presenter Kate Thornton said: "Happy big birthday."

Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford also shared her own tribute on her Instagram Story and alongside a picture of her and Coleen together, Ruth said: "Happy 60th birthday to my bestie & the funniest woman I know!"
