Coleen Nolan was discussing the new documentary Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence on today's Loose Women and admitted the topic stops her from sleeping.
Coleen Nolan has confessed that the constant stream of distressing news on social media, including cases like Madeleine McCann's disappearance, is causing her "much stress" ahead of a new documentary airing tonight.
Discussing the public's need to know about the investigation into suspect Christian Brueckner, featured in 'Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence', Coleen shared with Loose Women: "My thing is I think we all have this morbid curiosity and I'm including myself in that. But over the last few months, I've realised how much stress it's causing me to the point where sometimes I can't sleep at night because I don't need actually to know all those details.
"It stays in my mind. Whether it's about this case or anything - awful things on social media that I go to scroll past, but then something else comes up, but you've seen it."
She also mentioned that since police officer bodycam footage has become more accessible, it's "become a reality show on social media". She expressed concern: "We're seeing every single awful thing that happens, whether it's in this country or around the world. I just think we're being overloaded with things that are out of our control."
She continued: "No wonder people have serious mental health issues because we're being bombarded with so much negative, awful information", reports The Mirror.
"No wonder we don't let our children go two feet out of our sight in a children's play area because we think, 'But that video I saw last week on social media.' Everyone is becoming so paranoid about life in general. Life's too short."
Tonight's gripping documentary airing on Channel 4 plunges into Sun journalist Rob Pattinson's year-long investigation, uncovering new leads regarding Madeleine McCann's heart-wrenching disappearance. The programme promises to shed light on suspect Brueckner's purported fixation with children, an accusation he firmly denies.
In developments earlier today, authorities delving into the child's abduction from Praia da Luz in 2007 finally broke their silence regarding a chilling discovery—a hard drive containing images from prime suspect Brueckner's abode.
Allegedly, the documentary set to air tonight will unveil disturbing new evidence, following a German police raid at Bruckner's house, where they reportedly unearthed not only children's attire but firearms as well.
