West Wilson is in the hot seat in the above preview of Season 9, Episode 2 of Summer House (set to air Wednesday, February 19).
In the teaser clip, Ciara Miller calls out her ex for talking to the press about their ill-fated relationship as the group sits down for dinner. She specifically takes issue with him airing his unfiltered thoughts to The New York Times back in June 2024, shortly before the cast reunited in the Hamptons.
"People wanna be — try to be — nice, but then they put out a lot of press about sh-t," she says, staring West right in the eyes as he thoroughly chews his food. "But I think, like, keep the same energy as your articles and sh-t."
Then, Ciara tells West — in front of everyone else — that he needs to do better. "What about sending a text of a warning that you're going to drop another New York Times article saying like, 'Oh, actually, I didn't like her and I should've just said that at the reunion because that would've read better as opposed to what I said at the reunion.' I think that was such a beta ass move," she says.
West responds by offering to talk it out with Ciara in private, noting that "a lot's gone on." But then, Kyle Cooke chimes in to say, "Selfishly, I kind of would like to witness that," adding that they're "such a close-knit family" and are all curious.
And Ciara agrees with Kyle's assessment, saying, "I mean, everyone's going to ask anyway... we might as well f-cking do it."
West's reaction? "Perfect," he mutters into his plate.
Ciara explains her reaction to West's New York Times interview
Though it's been more than six months since fans saw West and Ciara come to blows at the Season 8 Summer House reunion in June 2024, it's still very fresh in Ciara's mind by the time the cast returned to the Hamptons for Season 9. When the housemates sit down for dinner on July 5, Ciara had only recently returned from filming The Traitors in Scotland and is still processing all the news that emerged while she was in relative seclusion while working on the competition series.
"When I got back from [filming The Traitors in] Scotland, I was bombarded with text messages and phone calls about West's New York Times article about me, basically," Ciara explained during her confessional on the Season 9 premiere. "In this article, you're saying, 'I just think the relationship ran its course, and we're not each other's people.' Have you ever said that to me? No."
And when newcomer Lexi Wood probes for more info on Ciara and West's history, the model tells her, "It didn't end well. We're still in the aftermath of it ending because he keeps doing press and New York Times articles. So I'm like, you're a little bitch boy... I have no tolerance for him right now. I don't even fake it."
Ciara tells producers she's not going to address her feelings about West
Of course, Ciara is also feeling emotional about West because she had real feelings for him. But when pressed in her Season 9 premiere confessional about her hopes that they could reconcile after the reunion, Ciara wouldn't answer the producer's questions.
"I will not play myself like that," she said. "Nope."
