Looking back.
Bachelor Nation fans saw Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko fall in love and get engaged on Season 20 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since their time on the show, the two have been enjoying time with their family and friends and have moved in together in New York City.
And last month, the fan-favorite couple celebrated their two-year anniversary.
Now, Charity is reflecting on her relationship with Dotun and sharing a favorite unseen moment from their time on “The Bachelorette.”

In a recent fan Q&A, one person asked if there was a favorite “early days memory” from the show that didn’t make it to air.
Charity replied, “Me and Dotun didn’t talk Night 1. But I do remember that same week, so the first week, we had the dodgeball group date and he was on the group date. Which, I think he was really irritated that he was on the group date. But listen, he won, so everything worked out.”
She continued, saying, “But on the group date, at first we were on the beach before they found out that they were doing dodge ball. They were playing flag football and I think he got, you know they’re boys. They take everything so serious. And I think he got a little booboo on his ankle or leg or something and he was bleeding. And so I walked over there and I was like, ‘Not the gentle giant being down!’ And I walked over and I checked on him and I think that was our first time that we really had a little exchange of words.”
Charity smiled a lot as she recalled the memory and revealed that Dotun was actually right next to her.

“He is standing here listening to me share this story — that’s why I’m cheesing so hard,” she shared.
Another person also asked Charity how to not be afraid to give someone new a chance, and she answered that it’s helpful to recognize why those feelings are popping up and it’s normal to feel nervous.
“Context is also important,” she shared. “If this is someone who… has shown repeated patterns of disrespect or failure to honor boundaries, lack of accountability etc. then that’s for you to decide what you want to continue to allow in your life… But if that’s not the case, and you feel safe emotionally, then ease into that decision. Acknowledge, accept, embrace 🤍”
We love hearing more about Charity and Dotun’s love story and we can’t wait to see all that the future has in store for them. We love these two and their love!
