Celebrity Big Brother’s David Potts’ transformation after Sharon Osbourne brands him ‘outrageous’ trucc

Celebrity Big Brother star David Potts has reportedly joined the ITV reboot after a dramatic weight loss transformation.

The reality TV star, 30, is among the names who entered the Big Brother house, alongside the likes of Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin in the new look Celebrity Big Brother house.

The Ibiza Weekender star also counts former X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh among his new housemates, who for the opening episode were cast aside in their secret lair to select the three celebrities who could face eviction this week.

Sharon and Louis picked David, as well as Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith and Zeze Millz, as the three stars who gave the worst first impression, with Sharon savagely commenting that David tries ‘too hard to be outrageous.’

David’s decision to sign up for the beloved reality show comes after he overhauled his diet and fitness regime, losing three stone.

David has been documenting his gruelling workouts on Instagram and, at the start of the year, shared with his 317K followers his progress.

Alongside a before and after picture, David captioned the post: ‘Another stone bites the dust 💪🏻 officially 3 stone down ahhhhh! Just another 7 to go 🤣 SLAY!

‘For a few weeks I’ve been 2lbs off and it’s not been shifting, but it’s GONE! The journey continues huns 💪🏻 BIG shoutout to @nuffieldhealth_bolton for providing amazing classes and even better instructors 🩷.’

As well as being a gym hunny, David is no stranger to reality TV, having first shot to fame on the now-axed Ibiza Weekender, and has also appeared on shows including Celebs Go Dating and Celebs on the Farm.

His past experience means that sources are convinced David could be opinionated and cause a stir on Celebrity Big Brother.

They previously told The Sun: ‘David’s great TV and doesn’t hold back – he won’t bite his tongue when it comes to giving his opinion in the house.’

When talking about his stint on Celebs Go Dating, David admitted he wasn’t afraid to hold back and ‘didn’t care what people think about me.’

Asked if he was nervous to find a date, he previously told The Mirror Online: ‘I think it’s because of my personality, I’m outgoing and bubbly and I just feel confident and I don’t care what people think about me, I don’t give a [damn].’

ITV confirmed in November that the celebrity Big Brother spin-off would be returning on its flagship channel ITV1, and later revealed the start date was today (Monday, March 4).

The relaunch follows the successful revival of the original show, Big Brother, which gained its biggest viewing figures in more than a decade, with millions tuning in.

Over the years, the celebrity version has brought in A-listers from far and wide, including Rylan Clark, Spencer Pratt, Kerry Katona, Shilpa Shetty, Les Dennis and even Michael Barrymore – with the 22 winners of the show varying from boyband legends to controversial reality stars.

Celebrity Big Brother launches tonight (Monday March, 4) at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
