andiace Dillard Bassett is releasing brand new music four years after the debut of her album, Deep Space. After The Real Housewives of Potomac alum welcomed her first child into the world in October, she is now returning back to her music career.
The new mom took to her Instagram feed on Feb. 12, where she revealed that her new single, "How Do You Live?" will be out on Friday, Feb. 28. The song's art features Candiace closing her eyes with her hand behind her head, behind glass covered on condensation. The track is already available to pre-save on several streaming platforms. But her listeners will just have to wait a little while longer to see what the song's lyrics are about and what it sounds like.
Candiace already has some hopes for the future of her career. "I'm going to win a Grammy," she wrote in a tweet posted to X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month, more than two years after joining the Recording Academy.

Why Candiace Dillard Bassett is "really excited" about her new music
The "Drive Back" singer had previously given her Instagram followers a sneak peek into her new music in a Reel, which she posted to her account on Jan. 23. In the video, Candiace can be seen entering the recording studio, meeting with her team, and singing into a microphone. "For me, this has been a journey that has been in the works since [I was] at least five," she explained in the video. "So to get the respect of people in the industry, my peers, people in my chapter, and beyond has been surreal and amazing. So, I know all artists say this, but I'm really excited about this new project. It's just really that girl."
She then took to the caption of the post where she revealed that there are good things to come and hinted at the debut single's title. "Still floating from the first listen of my new project!" she wrote. "The first drop is coming very soon...a little question for you: How do you live?"
The "Fine Whine" singer previously took to Instagram on Jan. 15, where she revealed that she had signed to a new record label, UnitedMasters. In the photo, Candiace is flashing a peace sign while sitting next to UnitedMasters artist relations manager, Ahmad Davis.
"ANNOUNCEMENT," she wrote in the caption of the post. "Grateful and beyond excited to officially join the UnitedMasters family! Thank you for believing in me and the vision. This is the start of something major, and we've got some serious milestones to hit together!!"
