Rumors are swirling that “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Brynn Whitfield may have struck up a steamy new romance with “Outlander” actor Sam Heughan — and even her Bravo co-stars are weighing in.
According to a popular gossip account, Whitfield, 39, was spotted locking lips with the 45-year-old Scottish heartthrob at a trendy London hotel bar back in April. And just weeks later, she returned to the city, fueling fresh speculation that the two are now dating.
‘RHONY’ Stars Abe and Erin Lichy React to the Rumors
The original tip came from an anonymous source who claimed to have seen Whitfield and Heughan making out in the middle of Flute, a bar inside the Broadwick Soho Hotel in London.
“I work at Broadwick Soho hotel, Sam Heughan stayed here and tonight walked into Flute with [Brynn] from RHONY. They sat [at] the middle table and made out in front of the restaurant. Gave zero (expletive) that everyone was watching. Cheers,” the message read.
Not long after, DeuxMoi addressed the tip again during an appearance on the “Deux U” podcast, revealing that Whitfield privately messaged her asking to remove the post.
“She DMed me. She’s a beautiful girl,” the account’s founder shared. “She didn’t say whether or not it was true. But she said, ‘Can I please take it down? Because she’s trying to keep her private life private.’”
Erin Lichy and her husband, Abe Lichy, both cast members on the latest season of “RHONY,” reacted to the story in real time, with Erin exclaiming “Stop this!” and Abe calling the alleged hookup “a flex.”
“I got two actual sightings of it,” DeuxMoi continued. “To me, her asking for it to be taken down means it was true. But I was like, ‘Go girl, you get it.’”
Brynn Whitfield Hints at Romance as She Returns to London
While the rumored couple hasn’t been photographed together, Whitfield did little to shut down the whispers when she posted a suggestive Instagram update on May 19. Wearing a white robe and lounging in bed, she captioned the photo: “POV: London work trips are better when your bestie sleeps over and THE TEA IS HOT.”
Fans also noticed she paired the post with the romantic song “Love” by The Something Specials and Taylor Olin, which features lyrics like: “Right to love, you know we get by on love … High on love, you know it, you know we get by on love.”
She didn’t tag Heughan, and she’s since limited comments on her Instagram posts — possibly to quiet the online chatter.
But according to a May 19 update from DeuxMoi’s Instagram, the duo may be more than just a one-time fling. “A RHONY is dating a hot Scot,” a source claimed. “They met while she was in London. Now she is on her way again.”
“RHONY” is currently on hiatus while Bravo decides who will be in, who will be out, and who will be new for season 16.
