A new TV show, Love Thy Nader, will follow Dancing with the Stars star Brooks Nader and her sisters as they navigate NYC.
Just months after Brooks Nader’s headline-making split from Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko, the 28-year-old Sports Illustrated model is starring in an all-new reality series, Love Thy Nader.
The Freeform show, executive produced by Jimmy Kimmel, offers an inside look at the lives of Brooks and her three sisters, Sarah Jane, Grace Ann, and Mary Holland, as they navigate their twenties in New York City after growing up in Louisiana.
“The Nader sisters run in a pack,” Brooks says in the trailer, as viewers see the sisters shopping, taking selfies, and living in Manhattan.
Joining them briefly in the trailer is Gleb Savchenko, who had a seven-month romance with Brooks following their time together on Dancing with the Stars. The relationship came to an end in April, reportedly on tense terms.
“We grew up in conservative Louisiana, we didn’t have a lot of money,” she also says in the trailer. “In New York City, the rules are different. You can be who you wanna be.”
The Nader sisters shared a joint statement with People about their journey to this point. “Born and raised in Louisiana, the four of us always dreamed of moving to New York to chase big-city dreams,” they said. “It felt a world away. And yet — here we are. Four sisters, all in our 20s, living together in NYC. Working, dating, laughing, learning, and building a life we never could’ve imagined… side by side!”
“Keeping this a secret was torture,” they admitted. “We’re so excited (and a little nervous!) to invite you into our world. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride!"
According to the official synopsis, Love Thy Nader dives into the challenges and rewards of life in the public eye, exploring how the sisters have leaned on each other as their careers and personal lives accelerated.
“Brooks’ breakout success has led them into the high-stakes world of modeling, the social scene of Manhattan’s elite, and opened the door to a whirlwind of attention in their romantic lives,” the synopsis reads. “Set against the backdrop of Soho lofts, fashion campaigns and skyscraper dreams, Love Thy Nader explores the ultimate question of what it really means to ‘make it.’ In a city where one can burn bright or go up in flames, sometimes the only thing truly needed is a sister who has your back.”
Fans provided mixed reactions to the news. “Oh I’m sat!” wrote one. Another commented: “This is SO awesome.” One viewer even declared: “The new Keeping up with the Kardashians I’m so hype!”
Others weren’t as excited, with one writing on Twitter: “This will either be a hit or a complete miss. They have the potential to replicate Kardashian-level success. Funny, they have a similar look too, probably bc they are Lebanese.”
“Brooks Nader being a model is like people wanting us to praise Jelly Roll for being an amazing singer. They're both awful at their craft, but have a strong PR team,” another wrote. "So, like I didn’t think they were THAT famous. How did Brooks get invited to Jeff Bezos’ wedding? I literally didn’t know who she was till dancing with the stars," a final follower questioned.
Love Thy Nader premieres Tuesday, August 26, on Freeform and will stream on Hulu starting the following day.
