Who doesn’t love a comeback story?! We were all cheering for Aishah Akorede on Sunday's Dancing With The Stars.
The former Miss Universe Ireland had found herself in the dance-off last week, and the week before, but she was back with a very elegant bang for Orchestra week.
Aishah and her pro partner Robert Rowiński performed an American Smooth to Vanessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles which had all four judges swooning and Brian Redmond even giving her a nickname.
He told Aishah that it was amazing to see her back doing her thing after two Latin dances which saw her in two dance-offs and reminded her that 'belief is internal'.
In fact, Brian loved the routine so much that he named Aishah his 'Ballroom Belle' with the other judges agreeing that it was one of the best routines that she has performed on the show.
Arthur Gourounlian was also impressed with her dance and declared that for him, the routine was the ballroom of the season. Talk about high praise!
Head judge Loraine Barry added that Aishah’s dance was beautiful and that she especially loved the elegant lift off of Robert’s back which she described as being ‘simply divine.’
Aishah teared up as she listened to the feedback, and especially after Brian’s lovely words, and told host Doireann Garrihy that they were happy tears.
For their fab routine, Aishah and Robert received 36 points from the judges including a 10 from Arthur.
Viewers watching the show at home were also impressed with Aishah and Robert's dance, with several saying it was 'beautiful' and that the duo were 'stunning'.
We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that Aisah and Robert avoid the dance-off for a third time this week!
