“Real Housewives of Potomac” will proceed with the 10th season, but a notable cast member will not be on.
PEOPLE reports that RHOP will resume filming at the end of March. But, they will be without Karen Huger, who was sentenced to two years in prison with one year suspended on February 26.
However, they added that Huger could return following her sentence, especially if it is reduced.
The incident occurred in March 2024, after Huger crashed a vehicle and was charged with a DUI along with negligent and reckless driving, failure to control vehicle speed on the highway, driving a vehicle with a suspended registration, and failure to notify administration of an address change within 30 days. In December, she was found guilty of everything except for reckless driving.
Along with Huger, Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby have been full-time cast members since the first season premiered in 2016. Season 9 also featured Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton, Stacey Rusch, and Keiarna Stewart.
Bravo declined PEOPLE’s request for a comment on filming and the cast.
Wendy Osefo Speaks Out About the Future of the Show
During the “Real Housewives of Potomac” reunion, Huger was not in attendance, instead seeking treatment at a rehab facility following her DUI conviction. However, she did record an emotional video taking responsibility for her actions.
After that, the remainder of the reunion was all about the other cast members.
“With this group, we have found a way to navigate with her presence and without her presence,” Wendy Osefo told PEOPLE. “I definitely wish her well.”
“Looking at the reunion, I think that we maneuvered in a positive way as a collective, as a unit,” she continued. “I wish her the best, but I think that the Potomac brand still is strong.”
“Real Housewives of Potomac” Stars Show Support For Huger After Sentencing
Following Huger’s sentencing, a few of her castmates spoke out, showing support and wishing her the best.
“My jaw dropped,” Wendy Osefo said to PEOPLE. “I couldn’t believe it. At the end of the day, we may have our differences, but I always wish her well, and I’m just keeping her in prayer, 100%.”
“I really do encourage everyone to keep Karen in your prayers,” Ashley Darby said on a Feb. 27 appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. “I really care about her. And I learned this on the train coming here today and I cried like a baby, I did.
“I am shook,” Gizelle Bryant told Us Weekly Feb. 26 just hours after the news broke. “I do not have her wigs. I am concerned. In all seriousness, I am concerned for her safety. Karen ain’t cut out for jail.”
