Bradley Walsh Confronts Contestant Following Clash with Shaun Wallace on ITV's The Chase trucc

The Chase

The Chase fans saw frontman Bradley Walsh dish out some words of wisdom to a player after a stand-off with quizmaster Shaun Wallace.

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was seen pulling a contestant away from the podium and offering up some words of advice on the latest episode of the ITV game show.

During Monday’s visit (January 6) to the ITV studios, the beloved gameshow host welcomed four new quizzers onto the show looking to put their general knowledge to the test.

As fans tuned in for the primetime show, the former Coronation Street star introduced contestants Doyin, Elliot, Cat and Mark onto the programme where they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week, the quartet went up against Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, who made sure to bring his A-game as he faced off against the contestants.

But it was player Elliot, who after explaining his love for poetry, was read a cheeky hand-written poem by chaser Shaun.

Despite the poem being a dig at the player’s chances of success on the show, Elliott praised his “sentence structure” and said he thought the poem was “actually really good”.

It was then that Bradley put his arm around the player and walked him away, before he was heard whispering to him: “Don’t encourage him Elliot please. I have to put up with this time and time again, just say good job, well done, good effort and let’s carry on otherwise we’ll be here all night.”

Unfortunately for Elliott their banter only fuelled chaser Shaun, who was on top form, who sent him home after being unable to get his £4k cash builder prize back to the bank.

The formidable brainiac continued wiping out almost the entire team, swiftly sending Doyin home and even Cat, who bravely chose to go for the top offer.

Only Mark was left standing with just £4k in the bank.

Despite an impressive 15 questions answered correctly in the final chase, it was no match for the dark destroyer, who caught him with plenty of time to spare and sent him home empty handed.

“Fans applauded Mark’s effort. “Mark was unlucky and did a great job considering he was the only one to make it back.” Another agreed: “ark on #TheChase what a player. Utterly shafted by the one person he could’ve had left with him, taking a mad high offer. Fantastic solo effort.”
