Big Brother star Nathan King hits back at fans' claims he 'lied' about working for King Charles as he and girlfriend Rosie Williams share huge post-show career plans trucc

Big Brother star Nathan King has hit back at viewers' claims that he 'lied' about his stint working for King Charles as a teen, after some cast doubt on his comments during his time on the show.

The former pork salesman, 24, finished in fifth place on the latest series of the ITV show, after catching fans' attention with his outspoken political views, as well as his blossoming romance with fellow housemate Rosie Williams, 29, also known as Baked Potato.

Since leaving the house earlier this month, Nathan and Rosie's relationship has continued to blossom, with the former joining his girlfriend at her home in Cornwall, with plans to travel to Scotland to meet his family in the coming days.

And speaking to MailOnline with Rosie in their first ever joint interview, Nathan shared his surprise that fans would cast doubt on his previous career, after he discussed it openly in the house.

He said: 'How could you lie about that like? How could you? There were even articles at the time that were about me being the butler, like people are just mad at times, aren't they?

'I don't know how they come to these conclusions, why would you go on national TV, and make up a massive lie.'

Rosie chimed in: 'And people catch you out for that so why would you say that?'

Nathan went onto add: 'You can easily just look and see, ‘’oh, yes, he did do that’’, but people, I suppose, are not interested in facts, and more interested in just what they can make up. I’m like ''whatever!''

When he first entered the Big Brother house in October, Nathan shared that when he was a teenager, he worked as a butler at the Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire, the Scottish home of a then-Prince Charles.

He spent a year working on the estate before moving onto other jobs, and during the live launch he said: 'He hosts a lot of different dinners with guests. The president of Ireland was there, Alan Titchmarsh and I would look after him and if Camilla was there as well.'

While Nathan and Rosie's romance became one of the highlights of this year's Big Brother, its revelation caught many viewers off-guard.

Despite attempting to keep their romance under wraps, originally planning a post-series date during a fire evacuation, the truth eventually came out, and viewers saw them grow closer as the weeks developed.

After making things official in the house, Rosie, who was nicknamed 'Baked Tattie' by her boyfriend Nathan, was torn away from him when she was evicted just five days before the final, and the pair were reunited at the live final.

Since their Big Brother exit, the pair have put an end to any speculation that their relationship was a 'showmance,' and have shared hopes that they can channel their passions for radio by hosting a show together.

Nathan said: 'Do you know what we'd love to do, I think we both, and I know we're young and we probably shouldn't, but we both love radio.

'We both have always loved radio. I love listening to it. I love the idea of it. And we love music, I'm like an encyclopedia of music and I think that would be amazing. If we could do something together on radio, I think would be unbelievable. That is what I'd be hoping for, no idea how to go about it!'

Rosie added: 'And it's really odd, because, the fact that I've met someone who's really into radio, who the f**k cares about radio anymore. I know I do, but it was just like when Nathan was like ‘’yeah I love radio!’’ I was like ‘’I love radio!’’ I literally had my own radio show, I love it, and that’s something I’m really passionate about.

'So I can’t even believe someone else younger than me is into it, that’s so cool! When he was asking me about myself, I said ‘’yeah I’m kind of into radio I know that’s kind of lame’’ and he was like ‘’no it’s awesome!’’

Revealing she previously worked on her own radio show online, Rosie added: 'It was nothing big, it was an internet one! It was just like an internet one, I did speak about it on the show quite a lot. None of it was shown, but yeah I’m really into music.'

Nathan added that he and Rosie are still full steam ahead with plans to start a podcast with fellow housemates Emma Morgan and Sarah Griffiths, adding: 'I don't know how the hell to go about it. But wouldn't that be great if we could? The two of us sitting together playing music, and chatting s**t. I just don't think it could get much better than that, if people wanted to listen.

'For me personally, I always look at it. You spend so much of your life working. You've got to bloody enjoy whatever you do, and I think that is important for me, now moving forward. I'm not going to do something just for the sake of it.

'I'm going to do it because I love it because I enjoy it, and I know not everyone maybe gets that luxury. I don't want to sound as if I'm privileged saying that. But I feel like it's so important to enjoy what you do.

'And obviously, we're going to dabble into the whole TikTok and see what happens there, but I don't know how that's going to go. But yeah, ideally, if someone would give us a radio show the two of us, then happy days!'

Rosie added: 'I’ve always felt like the kind of girl... I’ve done loads of jobs, I’ve literally done so many jobs, a ridiculous amount, like a scary amount, I can’t even write them on all on a CV.

'I’ve always thought, do the job you hate the least, but lately I’ve been thinking why have I had that mentality? Why would I not just do something that I enjoy doing?

'But I feel like it's also been tough to get kind of opportunities, which is like doing something you want. I feel like there's a lot less opportunities now I know that's not good to say. So I feel like we're in a better position.'

Nathan added: 'We're in a position now where we can choose our next move. Hopefully, I don't know how it works, and that's the thing like, I've got plans. But I haven’t got any way of actually achieving them, but hopefully it comes together, a wing and a prayer!'
