Ben Stiller is revealing the fun way he bonds with his 22-year-old daughter, Ella.

The Severance director, 59, appeared at SiriusXM’s Town Hall hosted by Andy Cohen recently with members of the show's cast to promote its upcoming second season, during which Stiller discussed the bond he and Ella share over The Real Housewives. Stiller shares Ella, along with son Quinlin, 19, with wife Christine Taylor.

The beloved Bravo show became a topic of conversation after host Andy Cohen asked if Stiller, who is also an executive producer on Severance, was editing the show during the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.

"That's a good question. I was allowed to edit because I am technically a non-writing executive producer on the show, so I was editing episodes throughout the strike," Stiller replied. "It would've taken longer if I couldn't have edited during the break."

After Cohen pointed out the time it took for a second season to develop, as the season 1 finale aired back in April 2022, Stiller hilariously asked Cohen if he edited every episode of The Real Housewives.

"I give notes on every episode," said Cohen, to which Stiller responded, "It's really well edited." Cohen then asked if Stiller only watches The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

"I only have bandwidth for so many Real Housewives shows," he said. "I've been told Salt Lake City is the next one I have to get into and my daughter Ella really wants me to get into New York, but then you have to go back 10 seasons and start."

According to Stiller, Ella began watching The Real Housewives in drama school, and it became a "great release where you can just get into these other people's lives and their worlds," despite their busy schedules.

The comedian pointed out that he and Ella met Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Girardi at a Watch What Happens Live appearance and said that he was proud to discuss the show during his Thursday interview on The View.

"Yeah, because they were saying like ... and this is a spoiler, but why would the Salt Lake City wives, why would they talk about the worst text? And I was like, 'Of course they're gonna talk about their worst text. That's what the show is.' " said Stiller. "You want to see that."
