Kai Widdrington has shared a Strictly Come Dancing update as he finally gets a partner after being snubbed during the recent series of the popular show.
The professional dancer wasn't given a celebrity partner during the 2024 series, much to the upset of fans of the BBC One dance contest.
Kai later told the Daily Star about the decision: "Everyone wants to get a celebrity. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my time this series. Two boys couldn’t have one in this series, and sadly, I am one of them. Some of us don’t get partners and that’s the way it is." Kai did, however, add of his hopes for future series: "Let’s see what happens next year. Hopefully I’ll get one then."
But Kai was still very much been part of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, partaking in the group numbers and performing during the musical acts who appear during the weekly results shows. He was also spotted supporting his fellow Strictly stars in the 'Claudatorium' each Saturday night with the show's co-host Claudia Winkleman.
Kai then took part in the grand final of Strictly's latest run back in mid-December as he joined the cast of 2024 as they returned to the dancefloor for one last bright and joyous routine, before he also joined singer-songwriter Raye for a special performance of Oscar Winning Tears.
Following the final, Kai was straight into his next job as he joined the world of panto for the festive season. But now, he's back with his Strictly pals and has a partner for the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Live 2025 tour.

Kai and Montell Douglas were recently seen together as a new partnership for the first time as rehearsals for the arena tourgot underway. The pair were seen posing and laughing in front of the camera as they took photos and filmed footage that'll be used as part of the upcoming shows. Alongside the clips on her Instagram Story, Montell said on Monday (January 6): "In other news... @strictlycomedancinglive rehearsals start tomorrow," before tagging Kai alongside a red heart emoji.
Now, Kai has shared his own update from rehearsals. He was seen alongside 2024 contestants Wynne Evans and Jamie Borthwick as well as fellow pro dancer Neil Jones. He captioned the post: "Tour rehearsals officially underway @strictlycomedancinglive."
Neil was among those reponding to the post as he replied: "Wow thanks for adding me to your group." Lauren Oakley, who is also on the tour, said: "Thanks for including me," to which Kai responded: "behave," alongside a winking face emoji. Gorka Marquez, who isn't part of the tour, also posted: "Look at you boys."
