OVER the weekend there was an awkward moment where a Strictly star's family member was caught rolling her eyes at a judge’s harsh comments.

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay in the hit BBC One soap, is currently competing in Strictly Come Dancing, and over the weekend his mum Sharon left her own mark on the episode.

Sharon seemed to have a questionable reaction to her son's feedback on Saturday evening after he danced in Blackpool with his professional partner, Michelle Tsiakkis.

The pair performed a chip-inspired Jive to The Ketchup Song (Aserejé) by Las Ketchup, with Motsi Mabuse the first judge to give her feedback to the pair.

"Jamie, I've never seen anybody wanting to dance so much as you coming down on that thing," Motsi said to the dancing duo.

She added, "You were like, 'Get me off!' And then I could feel that energy that you held back, you put it into your dancing.

"You push all the way, you gave it absolutely everything. Your standing leg - just a little bit, just a tiny bit - it didn't give you that kind of vibration that you need so that you can absorb the music.

"So you have a sort of absorption on your ankle that we didn't have," Motsi went on.

She then concluded: "But besides that, I thought that was really just a fantastic way to end the show tonight."

While Motsi was giving her feedback, Jamie's mum Sharon could be seen in the audience looking less than impressed by the critique her son was getting.

'WHO IS THAT ICONIC WOMAN?'

Reacting on X, formerly known as Twitter, almost instantly, fans were quick to share their thoughts, with many unsure who she was at first.

"Omg who was that iconic woman eye rolling then?" asked one, while a second said, "Jamie's mum is not amused."

Then, the comments made their way to Reddit, with fans reacting in a Strictly-dedicated forum.

"Did anyone else catch Jamie’s mom rolling her eyes at Motsi’s comments?? Made me lol," penned one person.

"She is an absolute legend, I love her so much. To be fair she was just being all of us at that moment. Absolute icon," commented another.

A third then weighed in with, "She’s an absolute icon! Jamie will wanna curl up and die when he sees that lmaaaao."

"Came here just for this," added a fourth.

A fifth then offered, "It wasn’t even as though Motsi’s comments were bad?!"

And a sixth person said, "I wondered if it was an eye roll like.. Phew that wasn't that bad lol was a night for awkward camera cuts with Jowitas clap too."

SIZZLING CHEMISTRY

This comes days after Jamie and his pro dance partner Michelle were seen gazing into each other's eyes lovingly while having an in-depth conversation while in Blackpool.

The pair were spotted looking closer than ever while enjoying the iconic seaside town before the competition got underway for week nine at the weekend.

Enjoying some downtime before their dance, the pair were seen enjoying a classic portion of fish and chips while on the beach.

And then they turned heads as they leaned into each other and whispered into each other's ears.

The pair seem to be closer than ever, with their friendship set to blossom into week 10.
