Ashley Jacobs defends Thomas Ravenel amid sexual assault investigation tram

Ashley Jacobs and Thomas Ravenel

Ashley Jacobs is standing by Thomas Ravenel throughout his sexual assault investigation.

Jacobs, 33, appeared at the “Southern Charm” reunion and told the cast that she believes he will be cleared of any wrongdoing, saying: “It’s all hearsay. I mean, he’s not been charged with anything. These are just allegations. It used to be, you know, you’re innocent until proven guilty. Now you’re guilty until proven innocent.”

“I have seen a new Thomas,” she added of his recent off-screen behavior. “I mean, it’s humbling, of course, and now he’s [like] ‘Let’s stay in, let’s watch movies, let’s cook dinner, let’s just stay under the radar right now.’ And I’ve just seen a much softer, more sensitive, kinder, more supportive boyfriend. You know, everyone wants to be with you when you’re on top. Who’s with you when you’re down there? And I’ve told him, I’ve just said, ‘I’m not leaving.'”

Page Six reported that Ravenel, 55, was accused of sexual misconduct by his children’s former nanny and by a woman whom he met on Tinder. Haymaker, the production company behind the Bravo show, and Bravo said they were investigating these claims — but the women told us in June that they have not been contacted by either party.

Ravenel did not appear at the reunion as a result of the claims and investigation. Instead, Jacobs appeared on his behalf — and to defend her behavior throughout the season.

Now, the duo is facing potential legal action by Ravenel’s ex-girlfriend Luzanne Otte. She retained legal counsel earlier this month to fight allegations that she stalked and harassed Jacobs and that Ravenel spread malicious lies about her.
