The 36-year-old former contestant took to Instagram to announce her engagement to beau Choco O'Dwyer and flaunt her huge engagement ring. She shared a picture on her Instagram page, as she wrote in the caption: "Best Valentine's Day Ever (heart-eye emoji). I said Yes (ring emoji) @choc__odwyer."

The ex-flight attendant and nurse looked happily in love as she shared pictures from her recent trip abroad with her new man, flashing a bright smile as she posed for a photo near a waterfall, sitting on rocks by the water. Ashley was originally paired with Troy Delmege on MAFS, but the couple called it quits before the season ended. After their vow renewal split, Troy moved on to a nine-month relationship with fellow bride Carly Bowyer. Despite their breakup, Ashley and Troy stayed on good terms, occasionally meeting up for drinks after the show wrapped.

After the show and the scandal with Carly, Troy and Carly started a relationship but unfortunately it didn't work out. The star informed fans of the news on Instagram. He said: "Dear fans, it is with great sadness I want to let you know that Carly and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"I am so so sorry it hasn't worked out. This is a very painful situation. We've had an incredible nine months together and it hurts to walk away."

Ashley is an avid adventurer, and back in May, she shared photos of herself swimming with a crocodile. She also made headlines when she revealed she had graduated as a registered nurse after losing her job as a Virgin Australia flight attendant. Overcome with emotion, she shared her happy news saying: "I can't believe I am officially a graduated registered nurse! Hardest two years of my life! I could not have done it without the amazing support behind me!"

"Honestly my family and friends have kept me going through some tough times between full-time uni and full-time work! I cannot thank them enough! " In 2020, Ashley shared that she had changed careers after losing her job as a Virgin Australia flight attendant at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"So excited to be starting my graduate degree in nursing next year at QUT," she announced on Instagram at the time. Covid kind of made me re-evaluated my life and I'm so glad it did. I am going to try and do full-time nursing and full-time flight attendant, so wish me luck."
