ARTEM Chigvintsev has broken is silence after Nikki Garcia's divorce filing and made two requests after 'domestic battery' arrest.
Nikki, 40, went to court on September 11 to file the paperwork, according to TMZ.
The filing came two weeks after Artem, 42, was arrested for felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant for allegedly attacking Nikki.
Now the Dancing with the Stars pro has responded to the divorce filing by submitting his own legal documents.
US Weekly reports Artem cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split in documents filed on Friday, September 13.
The date of separation was listed as August 29, the day he was arrested in Napa Valley, California for alleged domestic violence.

Artem is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their son, Matteo, four.
However, Nikki is requesting sole legal and physical custody of their little boy.
Artem's second request is for spousal support from the former WWE star, as well as for her to pay his attorneys fees and costs.
Nikki is staying in their Napa Valley, California, home with Matteo while Artem, 42, is staying at a friend's house, according to TMZ.
The divorce doesn't come as a surprise as Nikki was seen without her wedding ring days after Artem's arrest.
Artem was booked on domestic battery charges on August 29, according to TMZ.

A 911 call was made by Artem around 8:30 AM PST to report a "medical emergency" at his home.
As paramedics and the fire department were on the way, he called back and canceled the medical help.
However, police did arrive and arrested Artem on the scene, and he was released later that day.
They also reported that injuries were involved.
Artem and Nikki met when they were partnered together on DWTS in 2017.
