Ariana Madix Appreciates Andy Cohen Even More After Hosting the Love Island USA Reunion ngocc

As tempting as it is to criticize Andy Cohen’s reunion hosting skills, it’s not a job for the faint of heart. It’s not nearly as easy as it looks, so Ariana Madix found a new appreciation for him after hosting her first reunion on Love Island USA.

After being on reality TV for nearly a decade, Ariana went into the gig with plenty of experience being a guest at a reunion. However, hosting the reunion felt like a whole different beast, especially for a show like Love Island. It’s a lot different from Vanderpump Rules.

During the Season 6 reunion, we saw shocking confessions. We heard conversations about a leaked NSFW video. It was a lot, and Ariana told Page Six in an interview that she had a “newfound appreciation” for Andy after the “intense” reunion. She did it once, but somehow, he does this a dozen times a year.

“And he gave me the best advice beforehand,” Ariana revealed. “He just said, ‘Don’t be afraid to go out there and to be you and put your own stamp on it.’”

She continued, “Obviously, he’s done so many reunions. He’s literally, like, the king of it! So it was really amazing to be able to get some advice from him before doing it.”

Although she went into the Love Island USA reunion armed with Andy’s advice, she still ran into a few challenges. Mainly, she admitted that it was really hard to be impartial to some of the nonsense we heard at the reunion. She still pulled it off, though.

“As host, there is leeway for you to feel how you feel and have a bit of your own opinion, but at the same time, you do have to be as impartial as you can,” Ariana explained.

She continued, “It’s tough sometimes because you’re watching all these things happening, and you’re rooting for everyone to find love, and you’re rooting for everyone to be treated properly. But of course, life happens.”
