Nobody keeps Andy Cohen on his toes quite like his son Ben, 6. The Housewives may be dramatic, but Ben is the king of sass — and oh how we love him for it! The Bravo TV host just shared a new video of Ben defending his sarcastic humor, and it even left Cohen speechless.
“Cohen Family Vacation begins! ☀️,” Cohen captioned a new video on Instagram today. He is riding in a car with Ben and his daughter Lucy, 2, as Ben chatters in the background. “Lucy!” Ben tells his younger sister. “Call Dad ‘Chicken Butt,’” he coaches.

“Hi, Chicken Butt!” Lucy adorably parrots, making Ben giggle. Her tiny toddler voice is so cute, but Cohen just shakes his head. Apparently, he doesn’t like his baby girl calling him names!
Cohen smiles and turns around. “Ben, why are you telling her to call…” he starts to ask, when Ben interrupts him with probably the best defense we’ve ever heard.
“I’m six-years-old!” Ben says. Duh! Six-year-olds should not be held responsible for their potty humor (which, BTW, we still find funny as adults ourselves!). It’s solid logic, and a defense that Cohen has no response to. He simply says, “I know you’re six-years-old” before valiantly trying to change the subject.
“Oh my gosh, are we going to have the best vacation ever?” he asks his kids. Ben comes in hot with his response. “Yo, bro!” he says. Are Cohen’s toes OK? Because Ben keeps him on edge with his funny quips.
Everyone praised Ben’s clever comeback. “He pulled that ‘I’m six years old’ card out with the swiftness 😂😂” someone said. “’I’m 6 years old’ as if to say what do you expect ?!!! Haha” another wrote. As the mom of a 6-year-old boy, I’m with Ben on this. Kids are going to be kids!
“I’m gonna start saying ‘what? Im 32 years old!’ as my response moving forward,” someone else joked.
Ben turned 6 earlier this month, and Cohen celebrated with the sweetest tribute. “6 years ago today, his life began and so did mine….,” Cohen wrote over a picture of Ben in the hospital shortly after he was born via surrogate. “Happy Birthday Ben!” the proud dad continued. So cute!
And even though Ben has an attitude, Cohen loves him all the more for it. In an interview with PEOPLE last year, the Daddy Diaries podcast host shared, “He’s so funny, and that tickles me for obvious reasons. I love it that he makes me laugh. I posted something the other day where he was collecting bottle caps and I said, ‘What are you gonna do with these bottles?’ And he said, ‘I’m gonna put them on bottles.’ I mean, it’s quite literal, but I thought, ‘Oh, you’re smart.'”
