Andy Cohen Wanted Real Housewives Star To Become the Golden Bachelorette ngocc

ABC recently announced Joan Vassos as the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. Good for her, but there were other choices. In particular, Andy Cohen wanted to see a certain Bravolebrity take that spot. He wanted it to go to former Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps. Andy Cohen sitting with his legs crossed in a beige chair while wearing a blue shirt and black suit

Luann deserves a dating show

Picture it: Countess Luann surrounded by a bunch of eligible bachelors, carefully narrowing down her decision only to end up divorced a few weeks after filming wraps. Andy wanted to see it happen, and he made a pretty convincing case for it during Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live.

Of course, we had a ton of other ideas about who could be the Golden Bachelorette over Joan. Honestly, Theresa Nist could have taken up the opportunity since she’s single now. There were also rumors of Susan Lucci joining the show. Alas, they landed on Joan, and that wasn’t satisfactory for Andy.

“Mazel to her,” Andy said before sharing his own ideas for the show.

“I sure wish it would have been Countess Luann,” he continued. “I think that would have been amazing.”

Andy’s co-host, John Hill, suggested that there would be a “fantasy suite every night” if Luann ended up leading Golden Bachelorette. However, Andy made a very important distinction.

“Let me put it this way,” Andy clarified. “She would have f-cked the ones she wanted to. She has ownership.”

Although Andy would have loved to see Countess Lu on Golden Bachelorette, it’s no shade towards Joan. Since her time got cut short on Golden Bachelor due to family obligations, she’s a great pick for the Golden Bachelorette. She deserves the second shot, but maybe Luann can step in for Season 2?
