In the past, Andy Cohen has been open about the fact that he was resistant to getting Botox. However, during Part 2 of the Married to Medicine Season 11 reunion, Andy revealed he recently had a change of heart.
During one moment in the March 30 episode, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host asked Dr. Contessa Metcalfe about getting Botox. "What I really want to know is who gets more Botox, you or Scott [Metcalfe]?" When Contessa revealed that although Scott has gotten some Botox in his forehead, he "thinks men aren't supposed to get [it] as frequently as women."
Andy then confessed: "I just got it for the first time in my life."
"How long ago?" Contessa wondered as Andy replied, "About a month ago; they gave me a little."
"Wait 'til it hits," Contessa added while Toya Bush-Harris quipped, "It's supposed to hit faster than a month. Come [down] to Atlanta. Come home to Atlanta."
Though Andy was open to the invitation, Dr. Simone Whitmore issued a warning: "They'll have your face frozen. Do not do that!"
Andy Cohen opens up about his decision to postpone getting Botox
As previously noted, it took some time for Andy to come around to the idea of Botox. On a 2016 episode of WWHL, the titular host spoke with Botched's Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif about plastic surgery for men (you can revisit the moment in the clip above). At the time, Andy noted that he never had Botox.
Additionally, on a November 2024 episode of the How to Fail podcast, the New York dad stated, "I've not touched it. I’ve never even had Botox. Joan Rivers, before she died, used to beg me to get Botox."
He continued, "And every guy that I know who's hosting a TV show, mainly all of them are younger than me or about my age. They all have had Botox. I look at their foreheads. I’m like, 'Your forehead does not move.'"
Andy then joked, "How about that? The gay guy is the one that doesn’t have the Botox!"
Later in his podcast appearance, the St. Louis native shared his take on the cosmetic procedure. "I haven’t done it yet. It's not something that I think I need to do. I don't know who I would be doing it for," he continued before noting that he would "probably do it soon."
It looks like Andy finally took the plunge!
